you can only use it on the left side of your head and the distance from your face is non-adjustable.Overall, I would have been okay with the second and third issues, but the fact that the audio quality is insufficient for use with Dragon makes this headset useless to me. For high quality audio and reasonably good playback, I recommend the Rosetta Stone microphone, which you can buy directly from Rosetta Stone for around $30. lapel.but it weighs just enough that its swinging around is a distraction. It has a button for muting and a clip for your. Unfortunately, it has too much hum and does not pass Dragon's built-in quality test most of the times. I picked up this microphone for use with Nuance's Dragon Naturally Speaking. I recognize that microphone hum can be a function of the computer, too, and not just the microphone, but as soon as I swap this headset out for the one I got with Rosetta Stone, the hum goes away and Dragon works like a charm. In addition, I am not a big fan of the control that hangs a few feet below the headset. Plus it catches on the edge of my desk when I stand up.Finally, the boom mike is not particularly adjustable.
However, the volume, even maxed out, was almost NEVER adequate: one must keep hand pressed to headset for the duration of the call [my hearing is not the same as a teenager's, but is still adequate]. It has an 8' wire, so one can move about at least somewhat. This is quite liberating. I rely on Skype for long distance phone calls, and with this USB model, at least I am sure I will have a headset that always works, and works well.
Dictation: great sound quality. Mostly Skype, but also occasional dictation, very occasional entertainment. The BT: each time I restarted the computer, one needs locate the device again, then go to skype audio and re-assign the bluetooth feature. Soon I am traveling to a remote location, so I am now ordering a second one of these. The expensive model was wireless [USB]. I use a headset exclusively with a computer. Not difficult, but an added chore when all one wants to do is make a quick skype phone call. Worked well enough, allowing one to walk quite a distance with the comfortable headset attached. Suffice to say that of all the headsets, and not inconsiderable expense- the Logitech on this page surpassed them all:sturdyimmediate connection, true plug and play every timegreat soundreliable.I use this for my base headset and portable model as well: just toss it in the brief.
Will carry two of these Logitech models [one for backup], rather than any of the other types. I've now purhased, all from Amazon, a total of 4 headsets, each of a different type, one of which was quite expensive [200$]: a blue tooth model, a folding usb model, a wireless usb model- and the Logitech model featured on this page. The folding model: good enough but delicate; of what use is portability if the thing breaks when carried. It's a solid build.
well i was using my headset after i finished using the headset I unplug the headset and then the usb plug fall to the ground after that my headset got broken. very sad storywhat can i say is a good product good sound and very comfort but the the quality is not so good i don't recommend this so much my packaging was good and in good time but im disappoint with the quality of this product logitech need to make more smash test ^^ is not that right.
They are comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time ,and they do a great job of blocking out the noise around you as well. I purchased this headset to use specifically with Rosetta Stone and it works perfectly. Although I have not used it with Skype or anything like that, I can definitely recommend it for Rosetta Stone.
I have mainly used this for Skype, and it sounds just as good as being on the phone with someone. This headset simply works, and it works well. The headset is comfortable, and setup is easy.
